Campo Santa Sofia. The blue hour — day has surrendered but night hasn't arrived. The city is caught between states, and so is he. A figure crosses the campo mid-stride, blurred into near-nothing by a slow shutter, while the world around him stays perfectly sharp. The café still glows. The man in the background stands still, present, real. But the figure in the foreground is already elsewhere — half here, half gone, dissolving into the cold blue air of a Venetian evening. This is what Elsewhere looks like from the inside. Not a dramatic departure. Just a crossing — and then nothing where someone used to be.
