What remains of a photographic image when subjected to a slow, methodical, almost organic transformation.

Built from archival photographs and reworked by hand, layer by layer, Efflorescence does not seek to erase the real but to displace it, allowing the image to move away from its original appearance without fully abandoning its traces.

Situated between photography and painting, the work explores a space where representation becomes unstable, where fragments of the visible dissolve into a new visual memory.

The photograph becomes a material in transformation, carrying traces of what it once was while opening onto another form of presence.
