We have crossed the line. No image, video, live stream, or audio can be trusted as a factual representation of reality. Technology was sold to the masses as a way to enlighten and progress society, but those in power work behind the scenes to increase their wealth and influence over us. We spend so much of our time consuming its endless stream of content which ultimately continues to divide us. Watch, listen, repost, comment, argue, prompt, like, dislike, consume… Internet idolatry will not improve our lives. But it’s hard to escape the hall of mirrors when new facades are generated at break-neck speeds.
