Spirit Guide stems from a childhood dream of fragmented figures spread across a series of ornately patterned rugs. Only through the embrace of digital media was the aura of this dream able to be reflected into a shared experience. The impossible camera angle of the low ground fly-through animation follows an intimate path around each highly textured sculpture. The ephemeral music composed by my mother, Royal Robbins, combined with the theatrically illuminated space reanimates this early childhood memory into a psychologically charged interior landscape.
