The scent of burned paper and plastic evokes childhood memories. Growing up almost exactly on a borderline between lush green nature and a rough urban béton brut partly criminal and dangerous neighborhood, burning trash cans were just part of the game. When I walked past this burned trash can in autumn 2021, I had to document it. I did that for several days, watching the cardboard pile up. After weeks had passed, they finally replaced it.
