Farmer girl Dot is lost in the Australian bush but is taken in by a kangaroo mother who has lost her joey. They make their way through a series of adventures, fuelled by a strange root that the girl eats. In this drug-addled state, she can suddenly speak to animals and experiences many adventures. Bunyip!
