Cuboid Cluster 1 was created with a combination of vintage software for Macintosh and Amiga from 1990-91 (Ultrapaint & Deluxe Paint). The design brings to life the patterns found in Kristen’s textile & printmaking work, and looks at the relationship between textile patterns and paint patterns for early personal computers. The palette cycling explored in this piece was a unique feature found in Deluxe Paint for the Amiga personal computer, and is a living document of the techniques found in this groundbreaking software.
