Description
A series created to mark scientific discoveries by extracting the images associated with the discovery and abstracting them into 3D landscapes via geometry displacement.
This image is a petri dish containing a growth of Penicillium Rubrum, as part of Alexander Fleming’s paper “A medium for the isolation of Pfeiffer's bacillus” in 1929 - the first medical application of penicillin as an antibiotic was in 1930.
