Description

The word “Shiva” literally means “that which is not.”

Shiva is the destroyer, the most powerful god of the Hindu pantheon and one of the most widely followed Gods in Hinduism. Known by many names like Mahadeva and Nataraja, Lord Shiva is perhaps the most complex of the Hindu deities. He is most famously depicted by the Indian artist Raja Ravi Varma, who drew him with Shiva's body smeared with ash, donning tiger skin, a crescent moon, a snake around the neck and a third eye.

I’ve always wanted to see a more modern take on the plethora of Gods and all their wonderful designs. So this is a rendition of Shiva if he had come down to Earth in this era!

Trivia for the Hinduism nerds: Shiva’s snake is represented in his hoodie, so its still close to his head.
