Dermis NFT are based on an Interactive video performance called Derme, which has for subject the reactivation of the history of a building, though the use of archival photography and technology. The building is the Jewish Museum of Belgium and the photograph belong to the museum's archive and was dated 1904 - when the building was a German school.
The photograph is projected on the wall of the museum, but thanks to infrared capture and interactive mapping, it is revealed only where the wall is sculpted by me during the performance. As a result, the faces of the little girls depicted in the old photo seemed to be coming from the wall itself and mix with its texture.
