Degenerative Spiral, 2021 glsl on canvas

The degenerative spiral expands both along its perimeter and towards its center. The outward expansion is comfortable and unimpeded, but the inner expansion soon becomes cramped and violent, as its higher frequencies rapidly devolve into a highly aliased noise-soup.

The patient viewer, then, is treated to the spectacle of this soup itself expanding to consume the apparent order of the outer loop.
