“Dark roots” is the result of a creative collaboration with seven performing artists and an intent to recognize a humanity-nature articulation beyond the usual environmentalist formulation: it clearly expresses our complex separation and interdependence with the natural, and indicates a certain pain and anguish in that relationship.
