CYVERSE is a series of generative artworks that pay tribute to the American painter Cy Twombly. Each piece reimagines one of his original works through code by adding variation and in some cases motion. Although these sketches reference the original artworks, they also extend their core ideas into new forms.
In these series, it is possible to find elements of gestural painting with its splashes, drips, and energetic brush strokes. In addition, you can find elements that form Twombly’s unique language, characterised by graffiti, asemic writings, and calligraphic gestures that recall scribbles.
At the moment, there is a plan for four releases, starting from the simplest and gradually adding more elements with each subsequent release.
Bacchus is the first in the series.
“Like grapes full of life.”
