Baby burrowing owl in Marco Island, Florida, stands on one leg near its burrow. This was the only time I visited there where I saw some owlets as this burrow was a bit early in the nesting season. This has always been my favorite shot that I've taken of the burrowing owls - such a sweet little creature. Burrowing owls are classified as threatened in the State of Florida.
