Hatters and factory workers often suffered from mercury poisoning as mercury vapor harmed the nervous system, causing confused speech and visual distortion. It must have been very interesting to be the Hatter! Not everyone is lucky enough to talk to a smiling cat and learn the secrets of shrinking and enlarging! But you have to be very careful with cats - they are not who they seem. But they never consider themselves different from what others do not consider them, others, in turn, do not consider them different from what they would like to seem. But who knows, maybe the Hatters aren’t mad - just their reality is different from ours?
