Mahsa Amini was a 22-year-old Iranian woman who died on September 16, 2022 after being severely beaten on the head by the Islamic Republic's "moral" police because her headscarf did not cover her hair according to the rules. Since that day, Iranian women have been leading a nationwide protest for more rights and freedoms against the dictatorship.

March 8, 2023, is the first International Women's Day since Amini's death; Thus, it is our duty to remember all Iranian women who are suffering, struggling and hoping for a better future. For themselves and for their daughters, sisters and mothers.
