The Shibari rope bondage & hot wax play in this series is meant to serve as a visual representation of our fears & struggles with self esteem. These inner demons can tie us up and hold us back, sometimes for a lifetime. The years upon years of the piling up of emotional pain can be devastating. It must be burnt out.

The Shibari rope represents all of the inner demons of doubts, fear and self loathing…binding us up and holding us down. Holding us back. Often forcing us to become its prisoner, if even in our own minds. The hot wax (fire) symbolizes a physical manifestation of the emotional pain, and acknowledges the need to face these demons head on. When we face the pain and fear, we create a chance to overcome it. Accept the pain. Embrace your pain. And fight…to one day be…Released.

Prae’s motivation for this series is to spread some light & hope to those fighting these lifelong battles. To let the viewer know that you are not alone. And that these demons can be overcome.
