Description
Chalcid wasps belong to the smaller solitary wasps with ~5mm length. They lay eggs in soft butterfly and moth pupae. From the eggs hatch larvae which drink the blood from their hosts. The butterfly pupae dies, then the adult wasp grows inside the pupae. They eat a tiny hole into the pupae from which they hatch and start mating. Repeat!
