The Bourgogne region is located in the center-east of France. It is crossed by a network of canals and dotted with majestic castles, some of which have been transformed into luxury hotels.

It is a region of heritage, gastronomy, and of course... great wines!

The Bourgogne Canal is 242 km long. It is the ideal blue thread for a refreshing and bucolic stay. It is bordered by a cycle route for cycling enthusiasts, or you can travel it by barge which is most pleasant for me who loves being on the water!

Along the canal, there are no less than 189 locks. They allow boats to navigate even when there are changes in the water level.

The opening and closing of the locks is based on the barges to pass, and this is managed by a lock keeper.

My great grandfather was a lock keeper in Bourgogne. This collection is dedicated to him.
