Today was not supposed to be much, but those types of chase days, I have learned, reap rewards. Storms, up in the afternoon in the Sand Hills of Nebraska, fueled by intense updrafts, created a beautiful complex of clouds and by sundown, were angry. Bolts were dropping everywhere in the rain with an occasional clear air bolt. As the sun set and daylight faded, the storm, a powerful and large conglomerate of air and water vapor, started to dissipate.
