Rising Body is part of the “Body” series and brings a contradiction to the association of black bodies to dead people. The series brings these bodies in motion, vibrating life, power, beauty, resistance among other inspiring feelings. The dancer portrayed is Tuany Nascimento, who mixes ballet, contemporary dance and passinho in her work.
