BOB BURNQUIST

Filho de mãe brasileira e pai norte-americano, Bob é o maior medalhista da história do X Games, a mais festejada competição de esportes radicais, com um total de 30 medalhas. É o único brasileiro eleito Skater of the Year, em tradução livre, Skatista do Ano, pela Thrasher Magazine. A arte e o estilo de andar de skate do brasileiro viraram referência mundial ao revolucionar o skate. Bob sempre teve influência artística dentro de casa, com sua mãe que também é pintora, e desde pequeno já rabiscava e pintava.

A volta a pintura tem se tornado cada vez mais constante e por influência de amigos grafiteiros Bob começa a transpor suas ideias do papel para as paredes e agora para as telas.

About the Artist:

BOB BURNQUIST

Son of a Brazilian mother and an American father, Bob has the overall record in medal count in the history of the X Games, with a total of 30 medals. He is the only Brazilian elected Skater of the Year, by Thrasher Magazine. His art and style of skateboarding became a world wide reference. Bob has always had an artistic influence at home, with his mother who is also a painter, and since he was a little boy he already scribbled and painted.

The return to painting has become more and more constant and, influenced by graffiti friends, Bob begins to transfer his ideas from paper to walls and now to canvas.
