Black Honey

"Black Honey" started off as a photo series exploring ideas of greed and imbalance. These photographs then led to further explorations which manifested as a series of oil paintings. This piece combines the two mediums and brings them both to the virtual space. A jarring juxtaposition of second and third dimensions leads the viewer to consider the page and the person, the words and the movements. How ideas can easily jump off the page and become tangible. How a pen can start a war or build a future.

//I keep swinging my hand through a swarm of bees 'cause I...// I want honey on my table//
