Description

I thought you came to wander through my land, A place of spells, where stars obey my hand. I opened gates of moss and silver flame, Believing you would cherish what you came.

But you stopped me cold and shaped me to your will, Not care but want, made tempting, sharp, and still. I smiled, I nodded, acted like I’m fine, While crossing lines I promised once were mine.

You hunted creatures born of breath and light, My gentle beasts, my guardians of night. You called it play, desire, something small, I called it love and paid the highest toll.

I kept performing, perfect in my role, While cracks like frost were spreading through my soul. My magic bled, unnoticed, slow and deep, I stayed awake pretending I could sleep.

Now all that’s left are ashes in the air, A world once living, ruined by your stare. I didn't die at once, not fast, not loud. I faded while still standing, bowed and hollow.
