A note on the sliders: There are main points that control the first, most obvious characteristic. For example, large movements of slider one control the ray configuration, of which there are six. The position of the slider between these six points controls a further aspect, a kind of sub-attribute. The effect of small movements should be visible with restrained twiddling, whilst larger movements will change the selection more dramatically.
