Sexual violence in prison is a pervasive and devastating human rights crisis that affects incarcerated individuals across the gender spectrum, often fueled by imbalances of power and a lack of administrative oversight. For both men and women, these acts are rarely about sexual desire and are instead utilized as tools of domination, humiliation, and social control.
