Description
After completing his National Service in 1956, Ralph Steadman moved to London where he found work for the Kemsley Newspaper Group. He was tasked with creating at least 12 cartons every week, which the editor-in-chief would flick through like playing cards, until he found one that passed muster.
This pithy observation about the great British Cuppa must have made it to print, as it has editor’s notes in pencil specifying, date (18th), page (17) and width (94mm).
