Creepy bashkir legend «7 girls»

In one village lived seven beautiful girls, each more beautiful than the other. But one day the guys from this village stole horses from another tribe. The people of that tribe got angry and attacked the village. They killed the men and took the women prisoner. So the seven beautiful girls were captured. It was bitter for them. They decided to run away from there. One night they escaped, but their disappearance was noticed and they were chased. The girls ran for a long time until they ran to the shore of a lake. They heard that they were being chased, but they did not want to surrender and in order to save their honor, they jumped into the lake. All seven drowned without waiting for help.
