Inspired by Tengu, in Japanese mythology, Tengu are creatures said to have both human and bird features. They are fearsome demi-gods who defend the wilderness and protect the mountains. These demon-like creatures are depicted with angry expressions, bright red faces, long noses, pointed ears, huge eyebrows, and wings. In the past, Tengu were more birdlike, but over time, they evolved into more human-like beings.
