An opportunistic venture after work had me jumping on to a couple of storm cells around my area. I first headed south and captured some awesome high based lightning strikes.

But I shifted to the north of town and it was sunset that stole the show. I started off closer to the lake below capturing some unreal light around golden hour but I had to shift position as the bolts got closer and got to higher ground.

The clouds were ominous and the sun had dipped below the horizon giving off insane colours of red and orange. Having the lightning trigger attached to my camera I was able to capture some lightning to add to the scene.
