one time i saw an @ symbol walk by me down a deserted alley. it was snuffling, bleary-eyed, crying.

i looked it up and down, gave it a firm hug, and sent it on its way. only later did it notice the $20 i'd tucked into its pocket.

i hope that @ symbol made something of itself.
