Artificial Selection is a generative exploration of Genetic Algorithm and inherited complexity through code.

Each pixel originates from a foundation of logarithmic, sine, tangent, and other mathematical functions, with the first horizontal and vertical lines acting as genetic origins. From these roots, each pixel inherits traits either horizontally or vertically, evolving over the canvas with subtle changes to create unique structures and patterns.

The image’s texture and flow develop as each pixel’s "gene" undergoes transformation and it allows new patterns to emerge with each line. Each pixel inherits and gradually shifts, mirroring natural growth and change in a structured pattern. There are different equations and canvas dimensions in this artwork.
