Dok Champa is known in English as Plumeria, is the national flower of Laos PDR. Plumeria is thought to be used as a shelter for spirits. It can be seen often lining the roads of Lao villages and is commonly cared for at temples. At night this beautiful flower releases a sweet scent to attract pollinators. People sometimes use it to create perfumes and incense.
