Description

THE MACHINE BEGINS WITH NOISE...

...from fragments, patterns, and probability, it reconstructs a face — pixel by pixel, layer by layer, until something resembling a human emerges.

The machine can see us through a camera, but what it receives is still data. Light becomes pixels. Pixels become patterns. Patterns become information. Information becomes a model of what we call a human being.

When an AI generates an image, it begins with noise — an apparently meaningless field of grain and fragments — and gradually transforms it into a coherent image. Every face is an approximation, a statistical memory of countless faces that came before it.

The machine does not see humanity as we do. It reconstructs its idea of humanity.

And somewhere between the noise and the image, between the pixel and the person, a question remains: When a machine looks at humanity, is it seeing us — or only the data we have left behind?
