For Analog Video Union #5, I was excited to explore the overarching theme and concept of Lost And Found.

I've always struggled with memory issues and being able to only grasp fleeting flashes of half-recollected events. When you have aphantasia, it's hard to describe how memory works to people without aphantasia. My memories are not images, I don't know what my family and friends look like, I recognize them, but I couldn't draw them, or sometimes even describe their facial features.

The disconnected nature of the 3d mesh that makes up the first shader mask represents my fragmented memories, then taking those memories and swirling them around into a translucent parallax mess of planes is an attempt to represent how all the memories and past events in my life are just a swirling soup of moments and fleeting glimpses.
