(Based on ideas I started exploring in the RED THREAD series (🠖 teia.art/red_thread), I am currently working on an experimental short film using footage from all (to me) available Russian films spanning the years 1908-1918.

The tiny violet sequence used for this .gif was selected from the latent space of a short test training made with a data set of 633 stills from 55 films {1908-1917} of instances where only women were present on screen. It was thoroughly (and tiredly, and admiringly, and lazily, and half-asleep, and amused, and excited, and dreamy, and impatiently, and ...) collected using SHIFT+s in the VLC Media Player and diligently (and tiredly, and admiringly, and lazily, and half-asleep, and amused, and excited, and dreamy, and impatiently, and ...) cropped in GIMP.)
