"How high is it?"

In this piece, we're talking about mountains. And they're tall—really tall. They're so tall that they get lost in their own clouds. For this piece, I wanted to capture the feeling of being on top of the world. So I used a minimalist approach with just a few shapes and colors to represent the mountain range itself. The shapes are simple, but they're all different enough from each other to keep it interesting and easy to read at a distance.

The colors were inspired by alpine flora—the flowers that grow in the alps. Their blue-green coloration is contrasted by darker greens as well as golds, reds and magentas. This was done intentionally to create contrast between the ground below and the sky above."
