Cigarette smoke fills the room. Jazz heads wander in and out drinking and talking while the band plays. The musicians whip the dancers in to a psychedelic frenzy. It's as if everyone, band included, is on one giant mushroom trip. Suddenly the bass player throws his instrument high up in the air and catches it without even missing a beat. The band continues to wail as the sweaty crowd erupts in applause. This is the encore.
