I lean towards the water, rubbing my hands together, ignoring the reflections of light in my eyes. Among the five different colors and animal feathers floating in the air, I can pick out a flower’s petal. Time is on my side, in an atmosphere more optimistic than ever before. If I were to dip my foot into the water, I feel light enough that it would disappear in the current. If I were to hug a tree, I know I would be launched into the sky with the weight as massive as the tree’s trunk. I float between death and life, between what I know and what I feel, like a leaf drifting. I could let myself be shaped by the wind, then turn into a small storm, placing everything back in order without causing chaos inside my home.
