Description
My mother believed in every version of me before there was proof. From mathematics to art, from images to words, she never asked me to justify becoming someone new. Her faith often existed before recognition, and sometimes before my own. Losing her meant losing the gaze in which every possibility felt legitimate. This work is about what remains after that loss: the belief she placed in me, carried forward as a kind of permission. A permission to continue becoming.
