This work is an investigation into the visual weight of colors and based on preliminary research results.

Each piece in this series is based on an accented analogous color scheme and displays a range of hues arranged around a single primary color, balanced with a complimentary colored "accent object". An algorithm varies the size of the color fields and their lightness to keep the composition in perfect visual balance.

I view this as a celebration of stability and harmony in unquiet times. To me, these compositions almost have a meditative quality: Looking at them makes me feel at ease and content.
