This work is entitled "Perched on a Branch" 2023, measuring 60x 80cm with canvas media. The process of making this painting uses a combination of splash technique with Dutch pour technique and the materials used are acrylic paint which has been mixed with cell breaker, air runner and paint. In the painting there is a male bird called the Sumatran Crested Poksai with the scientific name (Garrulax Bicolor) perched on a branch facing to the left. The results of this painting of the Sumatran crested poksai bird can be seen from an upright observing position looking up with its head slightly raised which looks dashing, making it often hunted by humans as a contest bird and the increasing number of hunters which will definitely affect the population of this type of bird in the future. The colors used in the process of creating this painting match the color of the original bird, namely light brown and a little dark on the body and white on the head and chest of the bird which symbolizes the truth that this type of Sumatran crested poksai bird has a loud or steady voice. to be compared with the sounds of other birds. The author took black and dark brown colors on tree branches in the mountains and along the hills of Sumatra, namely Bukit Barisan. The background in this work uses dark green, light green, yellow, and a few splashes of blue, which means the leaves on the tree are still very beautiful and naturally green, which makes the painting fresh when looked at.
