When you fly fish, you are “angling” with an artificial lightweight lure to catch fish. It is called fly fishing because the artificial lure imitates a real insect.

There are many different types of lures and fishing poles. Each fit for the different place in the world and fish you are trying to catch. Every different form of pole requires adaption in technique.
