On March 3rd, 2024, I went for a walk through the nearby park, capturing on camera the myriad ways Spring was beginning to unfurl. These snapshots of nature’s rebirth were then used as a base to generate low-resolution animations made of migrating pixels. The GPS coordinates of each photograph’s location seeded the random aspect of the algorithm, while the colours were directly sampled from the photographs themselves.
