Sloth is not always loud or visible. It can appear as stillness, hesitation, and the quiet habit of postponing what matters. It is the choice to remain comfortable while opportunities slowly disappear, and the gradual loss of motivation to move, create, change, or pursue what once mattered.
Unlike the sins driven by desire or anger, sloth is defined by absence: the absence of action, urgency, and resistance. It does not destroy everything at once. Instead, it allows time to do the work.
At its heart, Sloth is not simply about laziness. It is about surrendering to inertia until βlaterβ becomes a permanent state.
The Poem $ Music By Me
Sloth is the quietest chain upon the soul, Killing a dream still half-whole.
My eyes are awake, but my feet stay still, The world passes by, I surrender my will.
Everything withers, I still sit in my chair, Time keeps running, βsomedayβ hangs in the air.
No pain, no fire, no blade is required, Doing nothing leaves life expired.
I said βlaterβ so many times, till life itself died, And from all those tomorrows, only a skeleton survived.
