This is a brand new animated portrait of Dr Carola Salvi, based on two photographs taken by the artist.
Carola came up with the title of this piece, which was based on the photo taken in London on Halloween 2023, where we were visiting to attend an international premiere of "Only the Good Survive."
I believe that the other photo was taken in Rome. I often use photo reference of some sort when creating my animation artworks. Creating a multi media portrait is quite fun for me, and trying to capture the essence of one's personality in animation is such a unique challenge. It is all the more meaningful when the photos were taken myself and also when I know the subject.
