Views is a celebration of the hundreds of landscapes I’ve had the privilege of seeing in the past five years of driving long miles within the US. All of them have left an impression on my retina. I close my eyes and evoke in my mind the image of the beauty of the sun touching the mountains and reflecting on the water that connects you with the universe. That overwhelming feeling of calm and stillness. The curiosity that sweeps through your mind when the landscape changes, and the emotion when a few seconds later, you see a similar landscape again. Where does that mountain end? Why is it darker? Do you see it reflected on the water? There are squared pearls.

I grew up in Colombia, unfortunately in the 80s and 90s, when it was unsafe to travel by car due to the threat of guerrilla bands. During my 15 years in Spain I was too engaged with my new and exciting work to fully enjoy the few trips I did by car. Then, in 2017, I got married to a full of life person who opened my five senses to nature. Together, we have seen thousands of extraordinary landscapes.

I hope Views takes you back to those marvelous moments. Or generates new magic -realism- ones.
