You are on the deck of a ship traveling between ports of call in the Caribbean Sea. It is a clear night and the moon is dancing on the horizon. You become part of a dream scenario. What do you see? There is the moon, stars and more... dolphins, and per chance a mermaid, jumping, diving and dancing on, above and below the waves.

This is another shared effort between Dr. Bill Kolomyjec and Christopher Scussel. I needed an ocean so I asked Chris for a wave/seascape algorithm. After a couple of collaborative iterations I love what he came up with.

This work is a digital collage. It integrates algorithms, effects and representational images drawn in a popular vector drawing program, exported to .svg files which in turn are converted to a format that can be manipulated by JavaScript code.

Welcome to the tropics. Beware of rocks and coral reefs.
