Stripes, often regarded as a "pure form," serve as symbols of national flags, identity, power, and control. In the realm of digital media, they are also closely linked to programmatic approaches. When painted by hand, the inherent distortions and irregularities introduce noise, highlighting the materiality of the medium.

This work is a piece of generative art that explores the contrast between order and fluidity within stripes. The number of stripes, their colors, and the way they appear to drip are randomly determined, creating a unique composition each time.

The colors are selected randomly from five different palettes, each consisting of twelve colors. These palettes ensure a sense of harmony while allowing for a wide range of variations. As a result, the artwork remains both fresh and cohesive in its color composition.

Additionally, the dripping forms of some stripes evoke the flow of paint and the passage of time, incorporating a dynamic element into an otherwise static pattern. This interplay of system and chance, order and deviation, reflects the dynamic possibilities inherent in digital art.
