Description

In this self-portrait video, created at my studio in Manchester, New Hampshire in March 2026, I step fully into a world of my own making. Every element is intentional: the character, the atmosphere, the symbolism, and especially the costume, which I designed myself as an extension of the piece’s mythology.

The figure exists somewhere between pageantry, alien royalty, childhood dream, and private ritual. Gold becomes armor, performance, and transformation; the hand-built costume turns the body into an object of fiction, while the self-portrait format keeps the work deeply personal. What appears theatrical is also intimate—an act of becoming, documented by the same person who imagined it.

This piece is rooted in my ongoing practice of world-building through photography, sculpture, set design, and self-invention. It reflects the labor that lives behind the image: designing, constructing, styling, embodying, and filming an entire visual language from scratch. For me, the work is not just about portraying a character, but about building a portal into another reality and stepping inside it myself.
